Do you think God is pleased or approves of multiple Christian denominations?

I don't think God ever wanted us to be separated into multiple Christian denominations. I think that it is inevitable as humans, since we gravitate toward likeminded individuals. So, as ages possed, we gradually became more and more defined by what we believed.....to the point that there are jokes about it.
Is it possible that ecumenicalism could be just a short jump from wanting to abolish Christian denominational lines? Meaning the acceptanve of JW's, Mormons, Catholicism, and then to Judaism, Hinduism etc?

I think we need to come together and rally around the things we agree on. I think there is far more that we hold common than the few things that separate us as fellow Christians striving to be more like Him. Many believe that prophesy suggests a one world religion and I certainly can't argue that there is a movement toward that but I can't see this taken hold as long as THE church is on this Earth. I can't see the gap being bridged in the form of denial of fundamental truths that are such wide gulfs between religions like Christianity and Islam. I will say this, through study I have seen areas of which many will argue is common ground to build on, such as the belief of a coming savior: Jesus (Christians), Messiah (Jews), Imam (Islam), Maitreya Buddha (Buddhism), Kalki (Hindu), Saoshyant (Zoroastrian), True Man (Confucian). Also, there are basic belief in each religion to help the poor, to love, denial of materialism, etc... My point is that I can see moderates pushing for such a unified effort based on these core pillars. Now, when I say moderate I means those that are more interested in tolerance that conviction. Many people that identify themselves as religious only do so in name only.
