Experience tells me it's quite possible to have close friendships with people of other denominations. If they have a deep reverence for the Bible as God's word, and a love for people and desire for truth, it has made for many opportunities to freely talk about the differences in doctrine. Is it possible to have a deep friendship and not be truthful? Would that undermine a close relationship?

True relationship is based on many different elements but openness and honesty are two major attributes to depth. I don't think I've ever come into a relationship with the thought of changing someone. I think true relationships are give and take and we can learn from each other. Relationships with other denominations should not be viewed as a missions trip into the heartland of hedonism. Frankly, God very well might put those people in our lives to teach US something. We puff ourselves up with foolish pride based on the belief that we our the only ones that are in tune with the supernatural. I think not.
